Easter 2013

There aren't many photos from our Easter weekend. Lots of time went by playing with Resurrection Eggs and spending time with family.

Because sometimes, you just need a good bubble bath

Around here, bubble baths serve a multitude of purposes...... They heal booboos, make sickies go away, instantly lift moods, turn a bad, busy day into good.
We all love a good bubble bath!
The proof is in the picture:

The resulting disaster is totally worth it.

holy cow....

And......it's the end of March.

how in the world?

My little 'I'm going to be present......' turned into I'm not going to document anything for the first three months of 2013.

My big camera has been neglected. read not used at.all.

The only photos I have are on my phone. But we have been having a good time. 2013 has been fantastic so far. except the kidney stone that won't.go.away.  three weeks and counting people. and the dog that won't stay in her pen. who destroyed my freshly painted garage. excuse me while I go pull my hair out.

The little people are doing great. Sister is deep into her 3rd season of softball. She's playing first base and loving every.single.second. except getting trampled last night. She wasn't a fan and cried for the remainder of the ball game. She reads and spells. Counts by tens. Knows her money values and can count them out. She is such a sweet, smart, funny girl who likes to pretend that she's shy. She's caring and passionate. She's talented on the ball field and eager to practice and improve. We absolutely couldn't love her more. She is joy.

Brother Bear is absolutely hilarious. He keeps us on our toes and pulling out our hair. He writes and recognizes his name. He can count and say his ABC's. Sister is teaching him sayings to help him learn his money values. He is a wonderful friend. whether you're 1 or 10 or 30, he is fantastic to be with, to play with, to love. His friends at school all want to be "Hutt's buddy". He loves to ride his bike, play football and soccer. He's fast and mischievous. He likes to scale the cabinets to find snack and candy. He is absolutely the most compassionate little man I've ever met. He is laughter and love. Our world wouldn't be the same without our little man. We absolutely couldn't love him more, yet we love him more everyday.

Here's to the rest of 2013. And hopefully, much more documentation and pictures. on the nice camera.

Family Date Day

We're making an attempt to get out and 'do' more on the weekends. Something that requires some sort of physical activity.and not necessarily having anything to do with softball or box bikes. I want the kids to e pertinence different things, explore nature and God's wonderful works.
Since it was so chilly and we'd had a busy weekend already, we decided to take the kids to skate at the skating rink in town. Thanks to their aunt/uncle/cousins, they have their own brand new rollerblades. Both kids did awesome. They were so proud to not use the assistance contraption....that looked like a walker.
If was so fun to be back on skates again. Trey and I both expected to bust our rear ends a time or two, but we did pretty well at staying on our feet. It was such a treat to be unplugged and just enjoy our kids.
The few pictures I took aren't great because they're off of my phone. You can still get the jist though..

New Years 'not' resolutions

It's a new year. And I'm not really a resolution type of girl. Of course I would LOVE to get in better shape, run again. I have some things up my sleeve that I'm trying to figure out.
I'm not writing things out. I'm not declaring my New Years Resolutions.
This year, I want to be present. in my family. in the Word.
I want to do things for me, that I want to do.
Mostly, I want to invest all that I can in these two little people, their hearts, minds and souls.

Farewell 2012

Hello 2013!

I am thankful to have rung in the new year with some of our greatest friends. We snuggled their sweet new baby, surrounded by my two kiddos and their toys. The wee hours of the new year were spent snuggling my girl and trying to convincee her that she, in fact, did not need to go find the puppy. I was woken up this morning next to the man I love, by our sweet little people. We will spend today with our friends and family.

2012 was a fun year. We are excitedly looking forward to 2013!!!
